Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok, 2024 Nowon-gu Citizen Award and Model Citizen Commendation Ceremony

On the afternoon of the 13th, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the 2024 Nowon District Residents' Award and Model Resident Commendation Ceremony held at the Nowon District Citizens' Hall and presented certificates of commendation.

The ceremony was organized to honor the efforts of residents who contributed to the development of Nowon District and the local community in various fields, and to encourage continuous participation and cooperation.

On this day, Mayor Oh Seung-rok selected 8 individuals who set an example in each category such as filial piety, volunteerism, and youth awards to receive the Residents' Award, and awarded the Model Resident Award to a total of 199 residents who contributed to regional development in various fields including neighborhood leaders and members of professional organizations.

The recipients of the Model Resident Commendation were selected through recommendations from the district office, community service centers, and residents, while the Residents' Award recipients are enshrined in the Nowon District Hall of Fame along with their plaques.

The event was attended by about 500 residents including Mayor Oh Seung-rok, beginning with a pre-ceremony performance by the Sori Sarang Choir, followed by the presentation of the Residents' Award and Model Resident Commendation.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon District said, “The continuous growth of Nowon District and its development into a city where everyone can live well is thanks to the dedication of all residents,” and added, “I hope we will continue to cooperate and work hard for the development of the local community.”
