According to the medical community on the 13th, the Seoul Medical Association, the Emergency Response Committee of Seoul National University College of Medicine and Seoul National University Hospital professors, and the Korean Intern Resident Association (Daejeon Association) have decided to dispatch medical support teams to the impeachment rally for President Yoon held in Yeouido, Seoul. This is to prepare for citizens' health and safety issues as a large crowd gathers in cold weather.

First, the Seoul Medical Association will provide medical volunteer services every Friday and Saturday afternoon at the citizen rest area for the candlelight vigil in front of the National Assembly main gate in Yeouido starting this week. One internal medicine doctor and one surgeon will be stationed to care for the health of citizens and police officers and respond to safety accidents. They also plan to prepare sufficient medicines and medical supplies. Hwang Gyu-seok, president of the Seoul Medical Association, stated, "Many citizens from across the country are gathering in front of the National Assembly, so we decided to form a medical support team to prepare for any potential safety issues."

The Emergency Response Committee of Seoul National University College of Medicine and Seoul National University Hospital professors will also participate in medical support. Committee members and medical school and hospital professors will voluntarily attend to provide necessary emergency treatment on site.

The Daejeon Association's Emergency Response Committee will form a medical support team consisting of about 10 resident doctors who resigned and medical students on leave and dispatch them to the site. The Daejeon Association's medical support team is organized by the Emergency Response Committee of the Daejeon Association, with manpower and supplies supported by the Medical Association's Emergency Response Committee and the Korean Medical College and Medical School Student Association.

The Korea Hospital Association has requested each hospital to voluntarily inspect and strengthen emergency medical systems to maintain citizen safety and respond to accidents. In an official letter sent the previous day, the Hospital Association stated, "It is a situation that requires rapid and thorough response in preparation for the possibility of unexpected accidents caused by large-scale rallies," and urged, "Please check the operation status of emergency rooms to ensure swift response in case of accidents."
