At this event, organized to create an opportunity for labor, management, and local residents to unite, the Service donated 1,200 kg of kimchi, fish soy sauce, seaweed, and other ingredients, as well as 5 million KRW in donations to four welfare institutions operating meal services. All kimchi ingredients and products were purchased from local kimchi factories and village enterprises to also promote the revitalization of the local economy.
An employee who participated in the kimchi-making volunteer work said, "I once again felt the importance of warm care for our neighbors," adding, "It is very rewarding to think that the kimchi made by labor, management, and local residents working together will be delivered to those in need."
Park Jong-gil, Director of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, stated, "Just as kimchi is made by blending various ingredients and seasonings, we have created an opportunity for our Service and the local community to become one," and added, "We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities to help stabilize the lives of neighbors in need."
