Airport Railroad Introduces Credit Card Payment for Single-Use Transportation Cards

The Airport Railroad reported that among its users, 1.5 million people annually (based on last year) use one-time use transportation cards, and about 100 foreigners inquire daily about purchasing one-time use transportation cards with credit cards. Therefore, it is introducing credit card payment services for the first time among domestic railway operators.

Accordingly, after a pilot operation at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Station starting from the 13th, credit card payments will be available at all stations from the 27th. The usage method for one-time use transportation cards remains the same, and the deposit can be refunded after use.

Park Daesu, President of Airport Railroad, said, "Airport Railroad is an airport connection line linking Incheon Airport and Seoul Station, and foreign passengers have experienced inconvenience as they had to purchase one-time use transportation cards only with cash." He added, "With the introduction of credit card payments, the hassle of purchasing tickets will be resolved, making train use faster and more convenient."
