The Prosecution Emergency Martial Law Special Investigation Headquarters (Head: Park Se-hyun, Seoul High Prosecutors' Office Chief Prosecutor) is questioning Kim Jeong-geun, commander of the 3rd Airborne Special Forces Brigade, on the 13th. The prosecution is expected to ascertain the circumstances of the troop deployment and the specific orders given to Commander Kim.
The 3rd Airborne Special Forces Brigade is a subordinate unit of the Special Warfare Command (SWC) that deployed troops to the National Assembly and the National Election Commission on December 3, when the emergency martial law was declared.
Earlier, the prosecution conducted a search and seizure at the Special Warfare Command in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, securing related materials, and summoned Kwak Jong-geun, commander of the Special Warfare Command, for questioning.
