"A Statement Beyond Even the Pro-Yoon Faction's Ability to Cover"
Jang Kyung-tae, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized President Yoon Seok-yeol's national address as "resembling the fanaticism of far-right YouTubers."
On the 13th, Jang appeared on SBS Radio's 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show' and said, "(Through the announcement) it seems aimed at rallying the support base, but the content is hard to understand logically," adding, "It was the worst address that directly reflected the wording and perceptions of far-right YouTubers from the past, such as claims that the election was rigged."

Regarding President Yoon's remarks like 'wild sword dance' and 'anti-national outrage,' he said, "Wasn't yesterday a national address? Why can the message to the people only be expressed in far-right or Ilbe-style language?" and added, "Seeing the practically threatening remarks to the public, I couldn't understand why this address was made." He also pointed out, "Even pro-Yoon lawmakers found it impossible to cover for this level of address."
On President Yoon mentioning 'rigged elections' as a major reason for declaring martial law, Jang questioned, "According to that logic, how was he elected?" He continued, "(Far-right YouTubers) always say the April 15 general election was the start of rigged elections, so if the 2020 general election was rigged, then the 2022 presidential election in which he was elected was a fair election, and the local elections that followed, where the Democratic Party suffered a crushing defeat, were those fair elections? Is the National Election Commission cherry-picking?"
He added, "Last year, due to suspicions of rigged elections, the National Election Commission, the National Intelligence Service, and the National Security Research Institute signed several agreements related to hacking," and explained, "Didn't he also replace the Secretary-General with his closest aide? So even the Secretary-General of the National Election Commission came to the National Assembly and said he was baffled."
