Nowon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it will simultaneously hold the '2025 College Admission Regular Decision Support Strategy Briefing' both online and offline.

With the 2025 college admission regular decision recruitment just over a month away, examinees and parents are increasingly concerned about the more complex admission environment compared to previous years. In response, the district has prepared a special briefing session analyzing the latest college admission trends to support successful regular decision acceptance.

The briefing will be held on December 16 from 6 PM to 9 PM at the small auditorium on the 6th floor of the district office and will be simultaneously broadcast live online through the district's official YouTube channel, ‘Mihongssi’.

The lecturer is Park Chang-wook, a teacher at Seoul Sangmun High School, who belongs to the University Admission Guidance Support Group recommended by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's Education Research Information Center. Teacher Park will present a roadmap focusing on essential information that examinees and parents preparing for regular decision recruitment must know, including ▲analysis of last year’s regular decision acceptance cases ▲prediction of the 2025 regular decision process based on actual scored CSAT results ▲strategies for responding to increased medical school admissions and non-major recruitment ▲support strategies by score range.

On-site participation is limited to 180 pre-registered applicants through the ‘Nowon Education Platform website’ by December 6, and the briefing can also be watched live via the district office’s official YouTube channel ‘Mihongssi’. However, please note that the recorded video will not be provided after the briefing ends.

From 10 AM to 5 PM on December 22, one-on-one customized regular decision consultations will be conducted. Twelve active teachers from the University Admission Guidance Support Group will guide examinees on possible universities based on their CSAT scores and help them establish strategies linked to their desired career paths. Consultations are scheduled through prior online applications, with each session lasting 40 minutes per teacher, and nine sessions held per day.

One-on-one consultations are open to all 2025 college admission examinees and their parents. Applications are divided into two rounds. The first round prioritizes basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, legally single-parent families, families with disabilities, and out-of-school youth. Meanwhile, the district operates various programs for students from 5th grade elementary to high school students beyond college admission regular decision support. Through counseling for career and admission roadmap setting and self-directed learning, as well as linked program operations, students are helped to concretely set their career goals and establish systematic study plans.
