"61 Soldiers Deployed to National Assembly During Martial Law"…Contradicts Yoon's Statement

Yoon Claims "Only Non-Commissioned Officers and Above Were Transferred"

It has been revealed that soldiers were also deployed as martial law troops during the emergency martial law situation on the 3rd.

President Yoon Suk-yeol stated in a morning briefing on the 12th that "only elite forces above the rank of non-commissioned officers, not enlisted soldiers, were mobilized," but this appears to be inaccurate.

According to the report submitted by the Capital Defense Command to the National Assembly on that day, the Capital Defense Command deployed 75 military police personnel during the martial law situation, of whom 42 were enlisted soldiers. Eight were officers, and 25 were non-commissioned officers.

Among the 136 personnel deployed from the 1st Security Brigade of the Capital Defense Command, 19 were enlisted soldiers. At least 61 enlisted soldiers were mobilized from the Capital Defense Command alone.

The Capital Defense Command stated to the National Assembly, "48 personnel entered within the National Assembly fence, and no Capital Defense Command troops entered the main building of the National Assembly headquarters."
