Police Secure 'Kim Yonghyun's Secret Phone' in Ministry of National Defense Raid

The police have secured the secret phone of former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun, the key suspect in the 'December 3 Emergency Martial Law' incident.

On the 12th, the Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency obtained Kim's secret phone through a search and seizure operation at the Ministry of National Defense and the Capital Defense Command, and began analyzing it.

The secret phone is a telephone equipped with security features that make wiretapping and eavesdropping difficult, and important calls were made on it during the martial law period.

On the same day, the Special Investigation Unit conducted the search and seizure together with the Ministry of National Defense Investigation Headquarters. This was the first operation since the launch of the Joint Investigation Headquarters.
