Yangpyeong-gun, 2024 Traveling Charm Yangpyeong Living Briefing Session Concluded

Completion of tour through 12 eup and myeon ending at Danwol-myeon on the 11th

Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jeon Jin-seon) announced on the 12th that on the 11th, it held the ‘2024 Visiting Charming Yangpyeong Living Briefing Session’ at the 2nd floor auditorium of the Danwol-myeon Resident Autonomy Center Annex, attended by about 50 Danwol-myeon residents.

The briefing session began with a performance by ‘Danwol Arijanggo,’ active at the Danwol-myeon Resident Autonomy Center, and proceeded with a cultural lecture on the history, culture, and figures of Yangpyeong-gun and Danwol-myeon, followed by an explanation of the Yangpyeong Living Guidebook, which compiles lifestyle information necessary for living in Yangpyeong.

During the lecture, residents showed great interest when it was explained that Danwol-myeon has various cultural heritages such as Bosanjeong (Local Heritage No. 11), the Stele of Teacher Park Won-gyeom (Local Heritage No. 12), and the Tomb of General Yang Heon-su (Local Heritage No. 13). They were especially fascinated by Yangpyeong’s beautiful natural environment and the various legends within it.

Jeon Jin-seon, Governor of Yangpyeong-gun, said, “I thank the residents of Danwol-myeon who attended despite their busy schedules,” and added, “I hope this briefing session serves as an opportunity to learn more about the Danwol-myeon where I live and makes life in Yangpyeong feel even more attractive.”

Meanwhile, the briefing sessions, which have been held since April while touring each eup and myeon, concluded with Danwol-myeon amid favorable reviews from residents.
