The Seosan City Forestry Cooperative in Chungnam donated 20 million won to Seosan City on the 12th to help neighbors in need.
According to Seosan City, a donation ceremony was held that day in the mayor's office at City Hall, attended by Mayor Lee Wanseop of Seosan and Moon Jinhwan, head of the Forestry Cooperative, among others.
The 20 million won donated will be used to support vulnerable groups in the area through the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea.
The Seosan City Forestry Cooperative also delivered warmth to the local community by donating 10 million won to Seosan City at the end of last year.
Moon Jinhwan, head of the Seosan City Forestry Cooperative, said, "We decided to donate in hopes of helping neighbors in need spend a warm winter," and added, "I hope everyone can enjoy a warm year-end and New Year without anyone being left out."
Mayor Lee Wanseop of Seosan responded, "Thank you for your continued interest in neighbors in need in our community," and added, "I hope you have an even warmer year-end and New Year through the practice of sharing."
