The Wanju Myeongpum booth will showcase about 20 works that blend the traditional and modern sensibilities of Wanju crafts.

Artist Kwon Won-duk will present four woodworking pieces, including the modern reinterpretation of traditional furniture such as the Beopgochangsin square table 2024 and Beopgochangsin 2024. Artist Yeo Eun-hee will exhibit three pieces, including a sensuous tapestry series expressed through textiles and Dream Becoming Water NO.3.

Artist Jeon Seol-hee will showcase the Acorn Jar series and an octagonal tea utensil set made using traditional Onggi pottery techniques, while artist Jin Jeong-wook will unveil his new modern design moon jar created in a traditional wood-fired kiln for the first time.

This exhibition was organized based on the local craft artist network discovered through Wanju Craft Week by the Wanju Cultural Foundation to widely promote the uniqueness and creativity of Wanju crafts and provide new distribution opportunities for artists.

Jung Cheol-woo, Executive Director of the Wanju Cultural Foundation, said, "Wanju crafts have developed by encompassing both traditional and modern sensibilities while embodying regional identity. Through participation in this Craft Trend Fair, we aim to promote the competitiveness of Wanju crafts, provide artists with creative sales channels, and offer visitors an opportunity to experience the value of local crafts."

At the Wanju Myeongpum booth, visitors can not only see exhibition works by Wanju craft artists but also find small accessories, and artists will be present to provide direct explanations of their works.
