Pocheon-si Holds Evaluation Report Meeting for Eup-Myeon-Dong Community Social Security Council

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 12th that it held the 2024 Eup/Myeon/Dong Community Security Council Evaluation Report Meeting on the 11th at the Pocheon City Hall main conference room.

The evaluation report meeting was an occasion to share the achievements of the 2024 Eup/Myeon/Dong Community Security Council over the year and to present specialized projects of outstanding Eup/Myeon/Dong areas. About 140 members of the Eup/Myeon/Dong Community Security Council attended.

The report meeting proceeded with an awards ceremony for outstanding Eup/Myeon/Dong areas such as Soheul-eup, Sinbuk-myeon, and Idong-myeon, commendations for contributors to the activation of the council, screening of the 2024 activity video, and presentations of specialized projects by outstanding Eup/Myeon/Dong areas.

Attendees strengthened their sense of responsibility for building a local social welfare safety net and enhanced their understanding and capabilities regarding their respective roles and functions.

Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the members of the Eup/Myeon/Dong Community Security Council who have dedicated themselves to the local community,” and added, “I hope the Eup/Myeon/Dong council will continue to serve as a focal point for public-private cooperation and work together to create a happy city of Pocheon where no one is left behind.”

Meanwhile, the Eup/Myeon/Dong Community Security Council, with about 300 members active, plays a central role in the local welfare safety net by solving local issues independently and promoting various specialized projects.
