Hanam-si Successfully Hosts 2024 Women's Leadership Capacity Building Training

The Role of Community Women Leaders and Gender Sensitivity Training

Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 12th that it held a 2024 Women Leaders Capacity Building Training at the Hanam City Family Harmony Center on the 11th.

This training focused on exploring the roles and cooperation methods of women leaders in the local community and was conducted on the theme of gender sensitivity.

Son Young-sook, CEO of Gender Coaching, who led the lecture, gave advice on how women leaders can drive social change based on practical and concrete cases, receiving great responses from the attendees.

One participant said, "It was a very valuable time to understand the specific roles and directions for the local community as a woman leader," adding, "The sincere advice from the mayor and the instructor was a great encouragement."

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae said, "I thank those who attended this important event for women leaders to keep pace with the changes of the times," and added, "The city plans to promote policies to realize a gender-equal society through cooperation with women’s organizations, and we ask for the active participation and interest of women’s organization members in the future."
