Intel's Latest Processor 'Lunar Lake'
Up to 25 Hours Battery Life... Launching on the 1st of Next Month

Samsung Electronics unveiled the artificial intelligence (AI) laptop 'Galaxy Book5 Pro,' developed in collaboration with Intel and Microsoft. It features various AI services such as 'AI Select' based on Galaxy AI and Copilot+ PC, and is equipped with the latest Intel processor 'Lunar Lake' to ensure smooth operation.
On the 12th, Samsung Electronics introduced the new Galaxy Book5 Pro at Samsung Gangnam in Seocho-gu, Seoul. The Galaxy Book5 Pro supports both Samsung's proprietary Galaxy AI technology and Microsoft's Copilot+ PC functionality.
Notably, the Galaxy Book series features the AI Select function based on Galaxy AI for the first time. The AI Select function allows users to quickly search by drawing a circle or dragging on the touchscreen over an image or text of interest in a video without entering a separate search term. It can be used in various situations requiring searches, such as web browsing, shopping, and content viewing. Users can copy only the text within the searched image for document work, and simply drawing a circle over a QR code on the screen executes the URL.
Lee Min-cheol, Vice President and Head of the Galaxy Eco Business Team at Samsung Electronics' MX Division, said, "AI Select is a function developed with Samsung's proprietary technology," adding, "We will further develop our own technology through partner collaboration and incorporate more AI features in the future."
The Galaxy Book5 Pro enhances its capabilities by adopting the Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 2 (code-named Lunar Lake). Lunar Lake supports a neural processing unit (NPU) with up to 47 TOPS (47 trillion operations per second).
Baek Nam-gi, Vice President of Intel Korea's Samsung Business Division, explained, "Not only the NPU but also the graphics processing unit (GPU) and central processing unit (CPU) are organically integrated to provide a seamless AI experience," adding, "We have completed optimization testing for over 300 AI applications." He also stated, "We expect the AI PC market to blossom and will continue to collaborate with Samsung Electronics for innovation."
The Galaxy Book5 Pro supports the AI upscaling 'Photo Remaster' feature based on NPU performance. It can precisely enhance old photos and convert low-resolution images into high-resolution ones. The keyboard includes a dedicated Copilot key to utilize AI chatbot functions. In the future, image-generating AI 'Co-Creator,' subtitle display feature 'Live Caption,' and camera enhancement 'Studio Effects,' all part of the Copilot+ PC service, will be incorporated.
With a touch display, intuitive AI function use is possible, and a high-resolution Dynamic AMOLED 2X display supporting 'Vision Booster' provides a vivid screen experience. It features an anti-reflective panel and a 'Staggered HDR' camera that delivers vivid images, and four speakers equipped with Dolby Atmos. It is equipped with a large-capacity battery that can last up to 25 hours and has a more finely segmented touchpad detection area to assist precise work.
Users can connect with Galaxy smartphones or tablets to use features such as 'Quick Share' for easy sharing of photos, documents, and files; 'Multi Control' to control smartphones and tablets using the PC's keyboard and mouse; and 'Second Screen' to extend or mirror the PC screen on a tablet for dual monitor use. It will be available in gray and silver colors in two models: 35.6 cm (14-inch) and 40.6 cm (16-inch), launching on the 2nd of next month.
From the 16th to the 31st, Samsung.com will hold a notification sign-up event offering discount coupons. Regarding product pricing, the Vice President stated, "Although the internal and external environment is unstable and exchange rates are rising, we will set prices that are accessible to consumers."
