Korea Federation of SMEs Hosts 'Large and Small-Medium Enterprises ESG Forum'
The Win-Win Growth Committee (Win-Win Committee) announced on the 12th that it held the '2024 Large and Small-Medium Enterprise ESG Forum' at the KBIZ Hall of the Korea Federation of SMEs, sharing cooperation plans and best practices for establishing a sustainable supply chain between large and small-medium enterprises.
Through this forum, the Win-Win Committee shared the latest trends and best practices related to supply chain ESG and plans to hold the forum annually to continuously provide a platform for cooperation. ESG experts in environment, society, and transparent management presented trends in supply chain ESG and emphasized the necessity of cooperation between large and small-medium enterprises.
Hyunseon Hong, Senior Researcher at the Korea Accounting Standards Board, introduced international trends in sustainability disclosure standards and the draft standards under development, explaining the impact of sustainability disclosure on supply chains. Eunyoung Yang, Director at KOTRA, presented global supply chain ESG trends and highlighted key issues that domestic companies need to prepare for, while Sangyoon Kim, Team Leader at Sustainvest, shared the current status of supply chain management by large enterprises and proposed cooperation measures between large and small-medium enterprises.
Additionally, Hyundai Motor Company and SK C&C, which have received excellent evaluations from major domestic and international rating agencies, shared their cases and know-how on supply chain ESG management, and Daeshin Economic Research Institute introduced the 'Supply Chain ESG Management Guidelines' prepared jointly with the Win-Win Committee.
Chairman Dalgon Lee of the Win-Win Committee stated, "Supply chain ESG management is key to ensuring corporate sustainability," adding, "We will continue to serve as the best ESG support institution in Korea to promote ESG within supply chains as a mediator between large and small-medium enterprises."
