The artificial intelligence (AI) model ChatGPT experienced access disruptions on the 11th (local time).
According to the internet monitoring site Downdetector, service disruptions occurred on ChatGPT starting at 6 p.m. Eastern Time (8 a.m. Korean Time on the 12th). The number of access failure reports quickly surged to around 27,000.
Due to this disruption, users reportedly had difficulties accessing ChatGPT and the video AI model Sora, among others.
OpenAI stated, "Reports have been received about slow login speeds and some degraded features," adding, "We are working to identify the problem and deploy fixes."
The access disruption appears to have affected many users. The weekly active user count of ChatGPT reaches 250 million worldwide. ChatGPT also experienced access disruptions last November but was restored within an hour.
