Since the end of last month, Taekwang Group has directly confirmed and prepared the Christmas gifts desired by 197 youths living in these homes (164 in Seoul, 33 in Ulsan). In particular, reflecting various age groups and preferences such as preschoolers, elementary, middle, and high school students, there were no restrictions on the purchased items, allowing free choice. The most requested gifts by the youths were winter padding jackets (65 people), followed by ▲sneakers (27 people) ▲earphones (20 people) ▲backpacks (10 people) ▲casual wear (8 people) ▲LEGO sets (7 people).
The prepared gifts will be personally wrapped by Taekwang Group employees and delivered directly to each home using the 16-passenger limousine called the "Taekwang Rudolph Bus." Notably, this year, Taekwang Industrial’s Ulsan factory, which has consistently carried out community-based volunteer activities, will also participate. Next year, the group plans to actively encourage participation from other affiliates such as Taekwang Industrial, Heungkuk Life Insurance, and Heungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance, while also expanding the scope of support for group homes.
A Taekwang Group representative said, "We hope that the youths in group homes will have a joyful and warm winter with the Taekwang Rudolph Bus," adding, "Taekwang Group will continue to carry out various social contribution activities as a company fulfilling its corporate social responsibility."
