[Special Stock] Xgate 'Races' on Google-Led Quantum Revolution...Emerges as Leading Quantum Encryption Stock

Xgate is showing strong performance. It appears that the news of Alphabet's stock reaching an all-time high after Google unveiled its self-developed quantum chip 'Willow' has influenced the stock price.

As of 9:29 AM on the 12th, Xgate is trading at 8,490 KRW, up 19.24% from the previous day.

Xgate specializes in quantum encryption and security solutions. It primarily develops various security products utilizing Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) technology. Xgate offers VPN solutions applying QRNG technology and holds a leading position in the domestic VPN market.

Mincheol Kim, a researcher at Kyobo Securities, explained, "It is essential for securely protecting data from the threats of quantum computing," adding, "Quantum encryption technology is applied in industries where security is critical, such as defense and finance." He continued, "QRNG is an important tool for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems," and "It is used not only in QKD systems but also in VPNs and network equipment to provide a high level of security services."

He emphasized, "Quantum encryption must be developed before quantum computers are created," and stated, "They are proactively developing technology, recognizing that applying quantum encryption after the development and commercialization of quantum computers would already be too late." He further predicted, "It is expected to strengthen market dominance through next-generation VPN solutions capable of responding to the quantum computing era."

The global quantum technology market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 29.2% until 2030. According to the '2023 Quantum Information Technology White Paper' published by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the National Information Society Agency, and the Future Quantum Convergence Forum, the quantum technology market (quantum communication, quantum sensing, quantum computing) is projected to grow from 25.9024 trillion KRW last year to 155.5112 trillion KRW by 2030.
