10 Consecutive Years as the No.1 Market Share Holder in Greek Yogurt
Fermented dairy specialist Pulmuone Danone announced on the 12th that the cumulative sales of 'Pulmuone Yogurt Greek' have exceeded 360 million units.
Pulmuone Yogurt Greek was launched in November 2014, and Pulmuone Danone explained that it has maintained the number one market share in the Greek yogurt market for 10 years. Sales of Pulmuone Yogurt Greek increased from 13 billion KRW in 2020 to 29 billion KRW last year, and are estimated to reach 34 billion KRW this year.
Since 2016, Pulmuone Danone has led the market development by expanding consumer choices with various products such as Greek Frozen yogurt to be eaten frozen in 2016, drinking Greek yogurt and Greek Frozen pouch in 2018, and Greek compote in 2023. In May, the company launched the ‘Greek Signature 150g,’ which has an increased volume compared to existing products, targeting consumers seeking convenient healthy meal replacements, establishing itself as a representative Greek yogurt in Korea.
Pulmuone Danone plans to solidify its position as the undisputed leader in the domestic Greek yogurt market by introducing healthy pleasure products that meet the demand for convenient meal replacements. Sung Ji-ye, Brand Manager (BM) of Pulmuone Danone, said, "We will continue to expand consumer touchpoints so that consumers can experience Pulmuone Yogurt Greek products more closely."
