Including Rep. Jin, 6 Members Support Impeachment
Jin Jong-oh, a prominent first-term pro-friendship lawmaker and the youngest Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, stated on the 12th, "I, who was supported by the ruling party's youth representative and the people, will not choose the path of a collaborator against the people." This is interpreted as indicating his intention to vote in favor of the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol, which will be voted on at the National Assembly plenary session on the 14th.
On the morning of the same day, Jin conveyed his intention on Facebook, adding, "As a member of the leadership, I hoped for an orderly resignation." Earlier, the People Power Party formed a Task Force (TF) for political stabilization and presented a roadmap for an 'orderly resignation,' which includes President Yoon's resignation in February next year with an early presidential election in April, or resignation in March with an early presidential election in May.

However, as reports emerged suggesting that President Yoon is considering impeachment rather than resignation, and that pro-Yoon factions are agreeing with this, there have been calls within the party supporting impeachment. On the 10th, Jin also posted such reports on Facebook, warning, "Do not mock the people even if time is given," and expressed hope that the reports were not true after seeing the media coverage.
Including Jin, a total of six ruling party members have expressed support for impeachment. Until the previous day, five ruling party lawmakers?Jo Kyung-tae, Ahn Cheol-soo, Kim Sang-wook, Kim Ye-ji, and Kim Jae-seop?had publicly stated their support for impeachment.
