High Ratings Across All Indicators Including Stepwise Metrics
Excellent Scores for Rapid Response Ability in Training Situations
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has been selected as an excellent institution for three consecutive years in the 2024 Disaster Response Safe Korea Training evaluation hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Disaster Response Safe Korea Training is a nationwide exercise conducted simultaneously by central government ministries, local governments, and public institutions according to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's basic plan to assess disaster response capabilities.
The evaluation was conducted based on criteria such as ▲step-by-step indicators (training planning and design - training implementation - training feedback, etc.) ▲additional points indicators (posting training videos on YouTube channels, etc.) ▲deduction indicators (failure to conduct integrated linked training, etc.).
The district received high evaluations across all indicators and was selected as an excellent institution. In particular, it received excellent scores for its rapid response capability based on a cooperative system with related organizations during the previous large-scale electric vehicle fire training situation.
Earlier, on October 25, the district conducted a three-dimensional training simulating an actual disaster situation by assuming a large-scale electric vehicle fire and bus traffic chaos disaster at the Dobong Public Garage.
During the training, the district actively utilized the disaster safety communication network (PS-LTE) throughout the entire process to coordinate response strategies by situation and establish integrated response measures by linking the Disaster Site Integrated Support Headquarters and the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters within the district office in real time, ensuring unwavering communication between institutions even in actual crisis situations.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “We are pleased to have our efforts in disaster response recognized by being selected as an excellent institution in the Disaster Response Safe Korea Training. We will continue to strengthen the disaster response system and make practical preparations through training to create a safer Dobong-gu.”
Since the launch of the 8th local government administration, the district has elevated disaster safety as a core strategy and operates its administration prioritizing the safety of residents. A representative policy is the newly implemented “Mayor’s Safety Round” project, where the mayor personally inspects seasonal and periodic risk factors every month starting this year.
