Comic Industry Also Calls for President Yoon's Impeachment... 566 People Including Lee Hyun-se and Kang Full

"Immediate Arrest and Thorough Investigation Required"

The comic industry has issued a political statement calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol.

Seventeen comic associations and organizations, including the Korean Cartoonists Association, the Webtoon Association, and the Korean Cartoonists Federation, along with 566 cartoonists, released a "Cartoonists' Political Statement" on the 11th, demanding "the impeachment of Yoon Seok-yeol to suspend his presidential duties, immediate detention, and thorough investigation."

They stated, "The democracy of the Republic of Korea and the survival of its people are under serious threat," and warned, "If a thorough investigation and strong law enforcement against the involved parties are not carried out, the constitutional order of the Republic of Korea and the safety of its citizens cannot be restored."

The statement included participation from veteran cartoonists such as Lee Hyun-se, Kim Hyung-bae, Kim Dong-hwa, and Park Soo-dong, as well as cartoonists Hwang Mina, Yoon Tae-ho, Won Soo-yeon, webtoon artists Kang Full, Ha Il-kwon, Cheon Gye-young, and figures from academia, critics, and industry professionals.
