'Youth Acting for the Resignation of Yoon Seok-yeol (Yuntaecheong)' condemned the People Power Party lawmakers who did not participate in the vote on the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol and held a funeral performance for the People Power Party, according to reports by Kyunghyang Shinmun and others. Yuntaecheong stated, "The People Power Party failed to prevent unpredictable subsequent events by abstaining from the vote on the 7th, thereby neglecting the instigator of the rebellion, Yoon Seok-yeol, and pushing the people into anxiety," adding, "We declare the death of the People Power Party, which has destroyed the constitutional order and lost its function as a public party."
Participants dressed in black mourning attire lined up to offer flowers in front of a black A4-sized portrait bearing the People Power Party logo and party name. They also prepared 105 chrysanthemums symbolizing the 105 People Power Party lawmakers who abstained from the impeachment vote against President Yoon Seok-yeol. Flowers were offered by throwing them, and some participants expressed their dissatisfaction toward the People Power Party by trampling on the thrown chrysanthemums.
During the flower offering, slogans such as "Disband the People Power Party, accomplices of rebellion!" and "Respectfully wishing for the voluntary dissolution of the late party!" echoed at the site. Some participants wore ribbons inscribed with phrases like "Respectfully praying for the repose of the late party" and "Late People Power Party, respectfully wishing for the voluntary dissolution of the late party" as a form of protest.
Lee Jae-jung, the 30-year-old representative of Yuntaecheong, said, "We deeply regret the People Power Party, which only clings to its position while ignoring the one million citizens who came out to the streets to love the country and protect democracy." He added, "Only the impeachment of Yoon Seok-yeol can prevent unpredictable subsequent events. We hope that this week’s vote will definitely show the people a safe nation and safe governance through impeachment."
The 'People Power Party Funeral' performance was held across the country on the same day. In Busan, the 'Busan Emergency Action for the Resignation of the Yoon Seok-yeol Regime' held a funeral performance declaring the death of the People Power Party in front of the People Power Party Busan City Party headquarters in Suyeong-gu. In Jeonnam, the Progressive Party Jeonnam Provincial Party held a funeral performance in front of the 'People Power Party Jeonnam Provincial Party' in Naju City, calling for the dissolution of the People Power Party.
