"Protect Citizens' Safety" ... Changwon Special City Holds Winter Livelihood Stability and Disaster Countermeasure Meeting

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam Province held a meeting of department and bureau heads chaired by First Deputy Mayor Jang Geum-yong to review winter season livelihood stabilization measures and the preparedness status for disaster-vulnerable areas.

At the meeting held on the 10th, discussions were held on practical measures for winter livelihood stabilization, including ▲ seamless execution of urgent current tasks ▲ continuous monitoring for the normal promotion of key projects ▲ early implementation of support for price stabilization and small business owners ▲ strengthening care for vulnerable groups.


In particular, emphasis was placed on active responses from related departments to overcome the economic crisis, such as support for small business owners to stabilize livelihoods, timely budget execution to stimulate the economy, and establishing closer cooperation systems with nuclear power and defense industry companies, which are core projects of Changwon City.


Additionally, opinions were exchanged on comprehensive measures to prepare for natural disasters such as heavy snow and cold waves, including ▲ establishment of an emergency duty system ▲ pre-inspection of snow removal materials and vulnerable sections ▲ operation of cold wave mitigation facilities, and a request was made to build a systematic prevention system for winter disasters and to continuously strengthen management.


First Deputy Mayor Jang Geum-yong stated, “The top priority in the current chaotic domestic situation is the stability of the local community and the safety of citizens,” and added, “We will do our utmost to promote livelihood stabilization policies so that citizens do not suffer due to the economic downturn.”
