Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 11th that it recently held a ‘Child Care Shared Room Program’ performance presentation at Deokjeong Art Creation Center located in Deokjeong-dong.

The event was attended by about 50 people involved in the program, including children participating in the ‘Child Care Program’ operated since July 15 as part of the Deokjeong Urban Regeneration Project, and trainees who completed the ‘Village Teacher Training Course,’ sharing the achievements together.
The ‘Child Care Program’ was conducted with the goal of alleviating the child-rearing burden of dual-income families through care operations suitable for the local environment, providing high-quality care programs for participating children such as creative robotics, emotional art, physical health, total crafts, violin, and counseling.
The ‘Village Teacher Training Course’ was operated in two tracks?Level 2 After-School Instructor Certification and Level 1 Design Art Craft Instructor Certification?to cultivate child care personnel in the region in the future. To enhance the trainees’ capabilities, practical activities were conducted in connection with the local Together Care Center.
At the performance presentation, the event began with watching videos of the care program activities so far, followed by an exhibition and presentation of the participating children’s achievements, violin and dance performances, and a graduation ceremony for the trainees who completed the Village Teacher Training Course.
A city official stated, “The Gyeonggi Ggumteul Community Center, scheduled to be completed next year as a base facility for the Deokjeong Urban Regeneration Project, will operate various programs for children and parents in the region,” adding, “We will continue to strive to realize local educational care through generous support.”
