In April, an operational plan was established, and in June, a 'Population Policy Empathy Talk Concert' was held by inviting experts to enhance understanding of this year's research topic, 'Population Policy,' and to establish specific research directions for participating research groups. After undergoing the research process until September, five research groups selected through the November document screening determined the final rankings through this presentation evaluation.
On the day of the presentation contest, to select the team that researched high-quality and feasible policies for the grand prize, a strict minimum score was set for the grand prize, and no team earned the honor of the grand prize. However, the Excellence Award went to the teams ‘Introduction of Unique Public Indoor Playgrounds’ (Yeoju Family Raising Children to the Light of the World!) and ‘Roles and Strategies of the Happiness Policy Support Center’ (Policy Discovery Group). The Encouragement Award was given to the teams ‘Research on Policies for Middle-aged Influx’ (FUN Friends), ‘Development of Agricultural Technology and Policies for Youth and Returning Farmers Influx’ (Youth and Returning Farmers Policy Research Group), and ‘Youth Future Dream in Yeoju’ (Raon Imagination).
The ideas selected through the policy research groups will undergo policy review by the relevant departments and will be implemented as new projects in Yeoju city administration.
Choo Sung-gil, Director of the General Affairs and Safety Bureau of Yeoju City and chair of the judging panel, said, “It is admirable to see the public officials who have worked hard for a long time for the future of Yeoju,” and urged, “Please continue to strive for policy research that benefits the citizens.”
