The Guri City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Gyeonggi Province (Director Kim Seong-il) announced on the 11th that it held a ceremony for delivering heating expenses and hope funds to the underprivileged on the 6th at the auditorium on the 4th floor of the welfare center.

The event was attended by about 100 people, including Guri Mayor Baek Gyeong-hyeon, and proceeded in the order of screening a video produced by the Korea Video Arts Association, followed by awards for outstanding sponsors and volunteers. The heating expenses and hope funds prepared with the hearts of local residents will be delivered to 100 households, with 200,000 won each.


Kim Seong-il, director of the Guri City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, said, “We thank many people who supported us with warm interest and love, and we will strive to provide better welfare services and demonstrate professionalism.”


Mayor Baek Gyeong-hyeon said, “I am grateful to many sponsors and volunteers who provided not only economic support to crisis households in difficult situations but also psychological stability by showing that they are receiving care and attention from the local community,” adding, “I also extend words of encouragement to the welfare center that prepared the delivery ceremony, and I will work harder to realize ‘Joyful Change, Happier Guri City,’ where all citizens can spend the cold winter smiling without the gap between rich and poor.”
