Uijeongbu City Holds Graduation Ceremony for Senior College Affiliated with the Uijeongbu Branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 11th that the Uijeongbu City Branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association (Branch Chief Kim Hyung-doo) held the ‘43rd Senior College Graduation Ceremony’ at the branch’s 4th-floor auditorium on the 10th.

The 43rd Senior College, which started in April, was held every Tuesday from 2 PM to 4 PM for eight months. Various programs such as retirement management, Korean language education, laughter therapy, health care, and cultural exploration were conducted to provide learning opportunities.


The graduation ceremony, which opened with a congratulatory performance by actor Lee Jeong-yong, was attended by 49 senior college students. Among them, 31 received perfect attendance awards, and 18 were honored with merit awards.


Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “I congratulate all the graduates of the 43rd Senior College on their beautiful achievements, and I extend my deep gratitude to Director Kim Ok-boon of the Senior College, Branch Chief Kim Hyung-doo of the Senior Citizens Association, and all related personnel who prepared the event. We will continue to devote more attention and effort to promoting senior welfare.”
