Silla University Employment and Startup Support Team Operates 'BM Advancement Startup Class' to Strengthen Current Students' Entrepreneurial Capabilities

Shilla University (President Heo Nam-sik) Employment and Startup Support Team operated the ‘BM Advancement Startup Class,’ which allows enrolled students to experience a mission to discover startup items.

On November 28, Shilla University’s Employment and Startup Support Team conducted the audition-style ‘BM Advancement Startup Class’ for 25 enrolled students, where they presented creative solutions for startup items and cultivated entrepreneurial spirit.

This program, conducted as part of the Regional University Revitalization Project, involved professional instructors as mentors to provide practical startup education, helping students acquire the basic competencies needed for entrepreneurship and supporting the discovery of diverse and innovative startup items.

In the audition-style ‘BM Advancement Startup Class’ through the item discovery mission, three startup item business plans were selected as excellent teams for their creativity, sustainability, and feasibility of startup realization: the ‘MoimJoin’ team consisting of physical therapy students Choi Seo-young and Kim Tae-hwan, future convergence major Nam Kyung-jin and Choi Jeong-gi, and pharmaceutical engineering major Jeong Hyo-jung with their ‘AI-based Competency Customized Club Community’; the ‘BapkkabeunhaeyaJo’ team consisting of aviation service students Ji Seo-young and Kang Da-hyun, pharmaceutical engineering student Jo Yoo-kyung, and companion animal students Yoon Hee-ji and Yoon Hye-ri with their ‘Companion Animal Mini Flowerpot Production Platform’; and the ‘ITJ’ team consisting of visual design students Jo Eun-bi and Choi Yoon-hee, pharmaceutical engineering major Kim Kyung-gyu, physical therapy student Lee Seo-yeon, and automotive engineering major Jeong Se-han with their ‘Wireless IoT Toy for Obese Cats.’

The ‘MoimJoin’ team, selected as the top-scoring excellent team, said, “Although it was a short time, we were able to gain practical experience preparing for a startup through the startup item discovery mission. The audition format motivated us to present competitive items, and the process of collaborating with team members to derive creative and innovative ideas was interesting.”

Jang Hee-jung, Director of Student Support at Shilla University, said, “This program was an important opportunity to spread the startup culture within the university, allowing students to discover startup items on their own and learn the process of solving problems they may encounter in the startup field, fostering creative and entrepreneurial thinking. We will continue to provide various startup education and mentoring to help prospective entrepreneurs adapt to the startup environment and achieve successful startups.”
