Busan Office of Education Awards 'Education Mecenat Tower' Symbolizing Busan Education Donation Culture

Awards Presented to 41 Institutions, Companies, Organizations, and Individuals

On the 13th at 4 p.m., the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the '17th Education Mecenat Tower Awards Ceremony,' a symbol of Busan's education donation culture, at the International Conference Room of the Education Office Annex.

The Education Mecenat Tower recognizes institutions, companies, organizations, and individuals who have actively participated in education love sharing donation activities throughout the year, aiming to enhance their pride in social contribution activities and to spread a culture of education love sharing in cooperation with the local community.

Marking its 17th year, the Education Mecenat Tower Awards Ceremony is jointly hosted by the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, Busan City, Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Busan Ilbo. At the ceremony, the four organizations will award the Education Mecenat Tower to 27 institutions, companies, and organizations, the Education Mecenat Plaque to 12, and certificates of appreciation to 2.

The awardees have supported the improvement of educational welfare in Busan and the reduction of educational disparities between regions this year by providing scholarships, goods, and funds for improving educational environments, as well as operating education donation programs that consider students' diverse aptitudes.

Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “I sincerely thank everyone who has conveyed warm hearts for the development of Busan education and the future of our children despite difficult circumstances,” and added, “I hope this awards ceremony will serve as an opportunity to activate education donations and spread a culture of sharing and consideration.”
