Seocho-gu Signs Agreement with LH to Create Better Living Environment

Promotion of Installing Resident-Needed Facilities Utilizing Idle Land

Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) announced on the 11th that it signed an agreement on the 10th with the Seoul Regional Headquarters of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) to create a safe and sustainable living environment.

This agreement aims to create a "safe, sustainable, and livable Seocho-gu" and includes mutual cooperation on promoting development projects utilizing idle land, successful promotion of public reconstruction and urban maintenance projects, improving living environments and expanding housing supply for the stability of low-income housing, and other efforts to establish a safe and pleasant living environment.

The district office will provide administrative support along with necessary data and information for project promotion, while the LH Seoul Regional Headquarters will be responsible for discovering and promoting development projects. To ensure efficient implementation of the agreement, both organizations will form a joint working council to discuss and advance specific action plans.

The signing ceremony held in the large conference room on the 5th floor of Seocho-gu Office was attended by Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu, Park Hyun-geun, Head of LH Seoul Regional Headquarters, and other officials.

Mayor Jeon Seong-su stated, "This agreement is an important first step to provide residents with a safer and more livable environment," adding, "Through cooperation with LH Seoul Regional Headquarters, we will improve the quality of life for local residents and realize sustainable urban development."
