The Only Domestic Cosmetics Company
Ranked 125th Among the World's Top 500 Companies and 6th in Korea
Kolmar Korea announced on the 11th that it has been selected as one of the ‘World’s Best Sustainable Growth Companies 2025’ by the American weekly magazine TIME.
The world’s best sustainable growth companies announced by TIME are ranked based on data from Statista, a global market research firm in Germany, by equally combining corporate revenue growth, financial stability, and environmental impact (on a 100-point scale). This year, TIME analyzed over 70 million companies across 170 industries in 150 countries and announced the top 500 companies. Among them, 23 were Korean companies.
Kolmar Korea scored a total of 81.44 points, ranking 125th overall and 6th among domestic companies. Its three-year average annual growth rate was 17%, placing it in the top 25% for revenue growth, and it ranked in the top 40% for financial stability. Notably, in the environmental impact category?including carbon emissions (Scope 1~3), eco-friendly energy use, and waste management?it ranked in the top 10%, securing 3rd place among Korean companies.
This achievement is the result of Kolmar Korea’s systematic and continuous efforts toward sustainable management. To ensure the continuous growth of K-Beauty and strengthen its position in the global market, Kolmar Korea has focused on co-growth with small and medium indie brands. As a result, the cumulative export value of K-Beauty cosmetics reached a record high of 9.3 billion dollars as of November, and it is expected to exceed 10 billion dollars this year.
Kolmar Korea also introduced eco-friendly technological innovations such as paper tubes and paper sticks, which significantly reduce plastic usage for the first time in the industry. The paper tube is an innovative eco-friendly technology that reduces plastic use by more than 80% compared to conventional tubes and is gaining attention in the global market. The paper stick is also recognized as an environmentally friendly product that minimizes environmental impact by using non-wood paper. Additionally, Kolmar Korea has established an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) committee under the board of directors and is strengthening its internal management system to solidify sustainable management.
Yoon Sang-hyun, Vice Chairman of Kolmar, said, "We are pleased to be recognized as a sustainable growth company in the global market," adding, "We will continue to strengthen ESG management and fulfill our responsibilities as a global company representing Korea through technological innovation."
