Orders Worth 1.2 Trillion Won Secured in Q4 Alone
Daehan Electric Wire announced on the 11th that it has signed a contract with the Singapore Power Authority for a 230kV ultra-high voltage power grid supply project. This large-scale project, worth 140 billion KRW, has enabled the company to achieve over 1.2 trillion KRW in orders in the fourth quarter alone.
In October, Daehan Electric Wire secured an order for a 400kV ultra-high voltage power grid supply project worth a total of 840 billion KRW, setting a record for the highest amount of ultra-high voltage cable orders in South Korea's history. In November and December, the company added orders worth a total of 220 billion KRW from the United States and Sweden.
This project is a full turnkey business to build a 230kV ultra-high voltage power grid. Daehan Electric Wire will carry out the entire process, including the production, laying, connection, and testing of related materials such as 230kV OF (Oil-Filled) cables and power equipment. OF (Oil-Filled) cables are filled with insulating oil inside the cable to form an insulator, boasting excellent electrical performance and high stability. However, due to the complex production process and demanding maintenance, only a few companies domestically and internationally can produce them, making it a high value-added product. Daehan Electric Wire was the first in South Korea to develop and commercialize OF ultra-high voltage cables in the 1970s.
A representative from Daehan Electric Wire stated, "The consecutive large-scale orders prove that global major power authorities have increasing trust in Daehan Electric Wire's technology, quality, and service. As this is a period of rapid growth in power grid investment and demand worldwide, we will continue to expand global orders and enhance corporate value through the flawless execution of projects."
