He will participate in the family team golf tournament, the PNC Championship (total prize money $1,085,000), held over two days starting on the 21st (local time) at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. Woods announced the news on social media on the 10th, saying, "I am happy to compete again at the PNC Championship with Charlie. We look forward to playing together, and it is always great to spend time with friends and family."

The Woods duo has participated for five consecutive years since 2020. Last year, his daughter Sam served as caddie. Woods had been uncertain about competing in the PNC Championship after missing the Hero World Challenge, an event hosted by the Tiger Woods Foundation that ended on the 8th, citing that his surgically repaired back had not fully healed. However, he decided to return to this event where he spent ‘happy times’ with his son Charlie. Their best result was runner-up in the 2021 tournament, following the father-son team of John Daly (USA).

Last year’s champions, the father-son team of Bernhard Langer (Germany), along with the Daly duo, Nick Faldo (England), Vijay Singh (Fiji), Lee Trevino (USA), and Padraig Harrington (Ireland) have all registered to compete. Additionally, Nelly Korda (USA) will team up with her father Petr, who won the tennis major tournament Australian Open. The PNC Championship is a PGA Tour Champions event where players with major wins in men’s or women’s golf team up with one family member such as a father, son, or daughter to compete in pairs.
