Discussion on Strategies and Development Plans for Metropolitan Tourism Products
The Jeonnam Yeongam Culture and Tourism Foundation announced on the 10th that the metropolitan culture and tourism forum held in Yongsan, Seoul, titled "Ganghaeyeong (Gangjin, Haenam, Yeongam counties) and Sokgoyang (Sokcho, Goyang, Yangyang counties)," concluded successfully.
At this forum, discussions were held on the value of cultural tourism solidarity and cooperation between regions, with over 110 participants including staff from culture and tourism foundations of six regions and experts.

They shared directions and strategies for cooperation centered on the "Ganghaeyeong Project" and the "Sokgoyang Project." The forum began with a greeting from Kim Wansu, head of the Gwangju-Jeonnam branch of the Korea Tourism Organization, presenting a future vision for regional culture and tourism and models to overcome the crisis of local extinction.
The first session featured presentations on "The Vision of the Ganghaeyeong Project and Metropolitan Tourism" and "The Metropolitan Solidarity and Cooperation Value of the Sokgoyang Project," followed by discussions on the vision and value of cultural tourism solidarity.
In the second session, presentations on "Achievements and Challenges of the Ganghaeyeong Project" and "Promotion Strategies and Vision of the Sokgoyang Project" were delivered, emphasizing the importance of metropolitan cooperation based on cooperation cases from each region. The third session discussed product design strategies and development plans for metropolitan cultural tourism, with exchanges of opinions from various perspectives.
In the final comprehensive discussion, based on the three sessions presented, the possibilities and vision for solidarity and cooperation between the "Ganghaeyeong" and "Sokgoyang" culture and tourism foundations were discussed.
Kim Bogeum, PD of the Yeongam Culture and Tourism Foundation, stated, "At the forum, we reviewed the direction and strategy of the Ganghaeyeong Project and explored the potential for solidarity and expansion of regional tourism based on cooperation with the Sokgoyang Project," adding, "We will maximize the synergy effect between the two projects to discover a new resident-led tourism model that contributes to expanding the local living population and revitalizing the regional economy."
