This Braille and sign language tourism guidebook was planned to eliminate travel barriers for visually and hearing-impaired people, who are vulnerable tourists, and to create a barrier-free tourism environment accessible to everyone.

The guidebook is designed to be conveniently used by visually and hearing-impaired individuals by providing information on Namyangju City's major tourist attractions in △Braille and sign language videos (QR codes) △large print △tourist maps and photos.

In particular, sign language videos are provided through QR codes to help hearing-impaired people better understand the city's tourism information.

A Namyangju City official said, "This integrated Braille and sign language tourism guidebook is a modern practice of Jeong Yak-yong's philosophy, which aims for a society where everyone can participate and enjoy equally," adding, "We will continue to do our best to lead barrier-free tourism and establish Namyangju as a frontrunner in inclusive tourism."

Namyangju City plans to first distribute the published guidebooks to facilities for the disabled and tourist sites within the city, and share the nation's first Braille and sign language tourism guidebook as a best practice with central government agencies, Gyeonggi Province, and other local governments.
