Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) was selected as a '2024 Company Free of Verbal Abuse' by the Korea Institute for Industrial Policy Studies and hosted by the Yoon Kyung ESG Forum, and received a certification plaque at the certification ceremony held on the 10th at the KEPCO Art Center.

The newly established 'Company Free of Verbal Abuse Certification System' this year is a program implemented to spread an ethical communication culture within companies and confirm the commitment to ethical compliance management. KEPCO was recognized for its efforts to create an organizational culture free of verbal abuse and was selected as a certified institution.

To meet the rising public expectations and internal and external demands for compliance management, KEPCO established the 'Compliance Management Office,' a dedicated organization directly under the president, last year. By building a preventive internal control system and executing field-centered preventive activities, KEPCO demonstrated effective results, including a decrease in the number of misconduct incidents.

Kim Dong-chul, President of KEPCO, said, "As a member of KEPCO, I feel proud to receive the certification as a company free of verbal abuse, and I will do my best to spread an ethical communication culture through warm language."
