Cheongsong-gun Selected as the Best Institution in Food Safety by Gyeongbuk Province

Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, received the Best Institution Award in the food safety sector at the 2024 Food Safety Management City and County Evaluation hosted by Gyeongbuk Province on the 9th.

This evaluation was conducted across a total of 14 assessment items in 4 areas, including food hygiene management, food poisoning prevention management, and improvement of dietary environment.


In particular, Cheongsong-gun received high praise for conducting customized food poisoning prevention education for cooking workers at group catering facilities and raw fish restaurants, where the risk of food poisoning is high, and for proposing practical countermeasures reflecting on-site conditions through contamination measurement (ATP) of cooking utensils, thereby preemptively blocking the occurrence of food poisoning.


Additionally, Cheongsong-gun was recognized for its efforts in actively managing food safety by strengthening sample inspections of high-consumption processed foods and distributed agricultural products to preemptively block the distribution of hazardous foods, and continuously guiding and inspecting food hygiene establishments.


Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “As dining out consumption increases and food tourism becomes an important tourism element, we will do our best to create a safe dining and food environment that not only residents but also tourists visiting Cheongsong can trust.”
