Equipment Costs, Labor Expenses, and Dead Livestock Disposal Fees, etc.

On the 10th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will provide emergency restoration costs to prevent additional damage to livestock farms affected by last month's heavy snowfall.

Livestock farms damaged by the heavy snowfall are eligible for support regardless of building registration or livestock business permits. The support limits by category are ▲ equipment rental for demolition of collapsed barns (up to 5 units per farm) ▲ labor costs (1 million KRW per farm) ▲ disposal costs for deceased livestock (300,000 KRW per cow, 300 KRW per kg for pigs, 600 KRW per kg for chickens).

The city estimated that there were over 800 reported cases of barn collapses and livestock deaths due to the recent heavy snowfall within the jurisdiction, with damages exceeding 850 million KRW. To facilitate prompt restoration support, Anseong Agricultural Technology Center is operating the 'Livestock Farm Heavy Snow Damage Restoration Support Situation Room.'

Farmers wishing to apply for emergency restoration cost support must submit supporting documents such as a claim form, bankbook copy, tax invoice, work confirmation or deceased livestock disposal confirmation, and work photos to the town, township, or neighborhood office where the barn is located by the 18th. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Livestock Policy Division Situation Room at the Anseong Agricultural Technology Center.

Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong, stated, "We will do our best to provide emergency restoration support to help the farms affected by this heavy snowfall quickly return to their livelihoods."
