314 Applicants for 3,594 Recruitment Positions

The application rate for first-year residents (interns) for the first half of next year was only 8.7%.

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare on the 10th, out of a total of 3,594 first-year resident positions available for the first half of next year, 314 applicants applied by 5 p.m. on the 9th. The application rate was 8.7%.

A total of 68 applicants applied to the so-called "Big 5" hospitals, which are popular among trainees, including major tertiary hospitals in Seoul such as Samsung Seoul Hospital, Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, Seoul Asan Hospital, and Severance Hospital.

In the metropolitan area training hospitals, 193 applied, while 121 applied to hospitals outside the metropolitan area.
