Seosan City, Chungnam announced that the Palbong Village Orchestra was selected as the best case at the "2024 Chungcheongnam-do Public-Private Cooperation Best Practices Presentation Contest" held at Chungnam Gonggam Maru on the 9th.

The presentation contest, hosted by Chungnam Province, was organized to share exemplary cases among cities and counties through presentations of public-private cooperation cases and expert evaluations, and to build a consensus on the necessity of public-private cooperation.

The Palbong Village Orchestra is a public-private-academic village orchestra created by the Palbong-myeon Residents' Council, Palbong-myeon, and Palbong Elementary and Middle Schools, under the leadership of the Palbong-myeon Residents' Council since October last year.

The orchestra consists of a total of 49 members, including 12 residents of Palbong-myeon, 8 citizens of Seosan, 16 students from Palbong Elementary and Middle Schools, 13 guest members who are graduates of Palbong Middle School, and 5 instructor teachers.

On this day, the city presented the case under the theme "Everyday Harmony Created Together, Palbong Village Orchestra" and received a commendation from the Governor of Chungnam Province.

Mayor Lee Wanseop said, "The Palbong Village Orchestra is a new model of public-private cooperation that unites residents through the medium of music and raises the cultural level of the local community," and added, "We will actively support the spread of successful cases of public-private cooperation that organically combine voluntary participation of local residents and administrative support."
