Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 10th that a series of donations continued as various organizations and companies participated in sharing for the local community.
The Mari-myeon Residents' Autonomy Committee donated 1,004,000 KRW to the Arim 1004 sponsorship fund. Lee Seung-woo, chairman of the Mari-myeon Residents' Autonomy Committee, said, "I participated in the donation hoping to provide a small help to neighbors in need during the cold weather."
The Gyeongsangnam-do Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association donated 3 million KRW to the Arim 1004 sponsorship fund. Kim Ju-saeng, chairman of the Gyeongsangnam-do Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, who attended the donation ceremony, said, "I am glad to gather our hearts for a good cause and make this donation," adding, "I want to continue donating in the future."
Jung Tae-hong, CEO of Jewelry Soon, who has participated in donations to the Arim 1004 Movement Headquarters every year since 2019, also donated 1.04 million KRW this year, practicing love for neighbors. CEO Jung said, "Please use it for precious causes to help neighbors in need."
In addition, BNK Gyeongnam Bank Geochang Branch donated 190 boxes of kimchi for kimjang (1,900 kg, worth approximately 7.6 million KRW) along with 10 million KRW in scholarships to the Geochang-gun Scholarship Foundation. BNK Gyeongnam Bank Geochang Branch has been donating kimchi every year, conveying warm hearts to the local community.
Cheon Byung-jin, branch manager of Geochang Branch, said, "I am grateful to be able to help neighbors in need in the district every year-end. I hope it will be delivered to those who really need it and used meaningfully."
Gu In-mo, the county governor, responded, "I deeply appreciate the warm sharing of the donors," adding, "We will use the donations valuably so that neighbors in need and future talents can move forward toward their dreams."
