Chungnam Center for Creative Economy and Innovation announced on the 10th that from the 1st to the 7th, it invited a delegation from Indonesian government agencies to discuss technological innovation and industrial development in connection with the eco-friendly electric bus charging infrastructure platform project in Indonesia.
The Chungnam Center is the implementing agency for the "Indonesia Eco-friendly Electric Bus Charging Infrastructure Platform Construction" project, a bilateral Official Development Assistance (ODA) project by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
This project, which began in February this year and will continue for four years until 2028, will invest a total of 11 billion KRW to establish electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Bandung City, West Java, Indonesia.
The Indonesian government delegation was composed of key figures from the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, West Java Provincial Government, Bandung City, and PLN (the state electricity company), as part of the ODA project related to electric vehicle charging infrastructure policies, technologies, and operations.
They visited major domestic electric vehicle battery testing and certification institutions, eco-friendly solar-powered electric bus charging facilities, microgrid facilities, and reused battery ESS equipment manufacturing facilities.
Kang Heejun, the head of the center, said, "This training was meaningful in that local experts directly involved in the actual project were able to see Korea's advanced eco-friendly electric vehicle infrastructure and battery technology firsthand, thereby deepening their understanding of the project," adding, "This project has become a stepping stone for providing practical support to the people of Indonesia."
Meanwhile, the Chungnam Center has begun the detailed design phase of the electric bus charging infrastructure ODA project in the second half of this year.
