The employees of Beomnonghyup in Yangsan-si consist of staff from 12 locations including Yangsan’s agricultural and livestock cooperatives and Nonghyup Bank. Since 2014, they have voluntarily created the ‘Hyocheon Kumcheon’ sponsorship fund, donating 1,000 KRW from their monthly salary for the elderly and 1,000 KRW for youth. The scholarship funds donated this time were raised through this fund.
In September, using the ‘Hyocheon Kumcheon’ sponsorship fund, they donated 200 bags of rice and 5 million KRW in cash to the Yangsan-si Welfare Foundation to help neighbors in need.
Kim Wonmuk, head of the NH Nonghyup Yangsan-si branch in Gyeongnam, said, “All employees of Yangsan’s agricultural and livestock cooperatives and Nonghyup Bank have united their hearts for the future talents of the region,” adding, “We will continue to faithfully fulfill our role as partners with the local community.”
Lee Heejong, chairman of the Yangsan-si Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, said, “It feels even more precious because it contains the hearts of all the employees,” and added, “We will use it valuably for the future generations of the region.”
