Hyundai Motor Group reinterpreted the 'i-CARE CAR' not just as a means of transportation but as a 'space for empathy,' 'space for protection,' 'space for concentration,' and 'space for recovery,' providing warm mobility technology for the emotional support of abused children.
At the vehicle handover ceremony, Hyundai Mobis demonstrated brainwave-based stress measurement technology and AI voice recognition technology used to measure stress during counseling sessions for abused children, drawing significant attention.
Han Yong-bin, Vice President of Hyundai Motor Company, stated, "The i-CARE CAR was designed by reflecting field opinions to optimize the vehicle for counseling environments and applied our group's new technologies to enhance the efficiency of counselors' psychological counseling work. Hyundai Motor Group will continue to support children so they can nurture their dreams in safer environments and envision a bright future again."
Lee Soo-hyun, a counselor at the Gyeonggi Namyangju Child Protection Agency, pledged, "With the i-CARE CAR, we will take one more step forward to embrace the future of children in underserved areas who need counseling and treatment services."
The Gyeonggi Namyangju Child Protection Agency (operated by Jogye Order Social Welfare Foundation, managed by Bongseon Temple) oversees two regions: Namyangju City and Gapyeong County in Gyeonggi Province. The agency is responsible for case management such as treatment for abused children, prevention of child abuse recurrence, and education and activities for child abuse prevention.
Those who wish to participate in child abuse prevention activities or support and volunteer for abused children can inquire via phone or the website.
