Yangju-si Hosts Urban Regeneration Archiving Exhibition 'Urban Regeneration 2024 (D:)'

Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 9th that it will hold the "Urban Regeneration Archiving Exhibition - Urban Regeneration 2024 (D:)" at the 3rd floor Open Gallery of Yangju City Hall starting from the 16th.

This exhibition aims to share the value of urban regeneration by visually expressing the achievements and changes in the project sites of Yangju City's urban regeneration projects. It also seeks to enhance understanding of urban regeneration projects and create a positive and friendly image.


The Urban Regeneration Archiving Exhibition, held for five days from the 16th to the 20th, is composed of △ current status and achievements of urban regeneration projects △ records (photos) of Yangju City’s urban regeneration △ character stories △ character-specialized products △ voting events, allowing citizens to see the achievements of urban regeneration projects at a glance and feel familiar with them.


In particular, this year’s exhibition features photographic works capturing the past and the transformed present of three areas in Yangju City?Deokjeong, Nam-myeon, and Sanbuk?through urban regeneration, as well as illustrations and specialized products using Yangju City’s urban regeneration characters. This allows visitors to share the unique urban regeneration values of each area and experience artistic expressions through various works.


Additionally, during the exhibition, a voting event will be held on the 17th and 18th from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, where participants can receive Yangju City urban regeneration character-specialized products on a first-come, first-served basis.


The exhibition will be open at the 3rd floor Open Gallery of Yangju City Hall from 9:00 AM on the 16th until 6:00 PM on the 20th.


Cha Soon-wi, Head of the Urban Regeneration Division, said, “This urban regeneration archiving exhibition was prepared so that citizens can approach urban regeneration projects, which might otherwise seem rigid and uninteresting, in an engaging and familiar way. We will continue to strive to make urban regeneration projects that enhance residents’ pride in their hometowns and increase regional value by utilizing the unique characteristics and stories of each village in urban regeneration projects and local branding.”
