The Korea Policy Awards is an annual ceremony hosted by the Korean Association for Policy Studies to discover and share excellent policy cases. Sahakyeongeum was recognized for its efforts to enhance the rights and interests of teaching staff who are in the blind spots of the Pension Act. This award was the result of an evaluation of contributions as a public institution among various participating organizations.
Chairman Song Hajung said, "This award is the fruit of the dedication of our executives and employees who worked to protect the rights of teaching staff in the blind spots of the Pension Act, and it is especially meaningful as the first external institutional award for a pure pension business department," adding, "We will continue to identify teaching staff in the blind spots of the Pension Act and make various efforts to support them."
Sahakyeongeum has been striving to identify eligible individuals and expand enrollment to resolve blind spots in the Pension Act, including time-selective teaching staff and after-school teachers at kindergartens. In 2022, it expanded the application of the Pension Act to time-selective teaching staff and after-school kindergarten teachers, and from 2023 to 2024, it has contributed to expanding the pension coverage by initiating the enrollment of indefinite-term contract teaching staff under the Pension Act for the first time.
