Goryeong-gun Receives Excellence Award in City and County Performance Evaluation for Regional Autonomous Social Service Investment Project

Goryeong-gun (Governor Lee Nam-cheol) announced on the 9th that it won the Excellence Award at the ‘2024 Gyeongbuk Regional Autonomous Social Service Investment Project City/County Performance Evaluation’ hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do, held at Myeongju Garden in Sangju on the 6th. Following the Grand Prize in the 2023 City/County Performance Evaluation, Goryeong-gun achieved the Excellence Award again this year.

This evaluation was based on quantitative indicators such as budget execution rate and field inspection compliance rate conducted from October 2023 to September 2024, as well as qualitative evaluation criteria based on performance reports. Goryeong-gun received the highest score among county-level units and was awarded the Excellence Award.

The Goryeong-gun Regional Autonomous Social Service Investment Project provides services such as FunFun Study, Child and Youth Vision Formation Support Service, Child and Youth Psychological Support Service, and Massage Service for the Visually Impaired, targeting children, youth, elderly, and disabled individuals. It also offers daily care services for young and middle-aged adults who require care due to illness or isolation. Additionally, through selection in a Ministry of Health and Welfare public contest, a new project, the Emergency Care Service, began in July, receiving great response from care recipients who were previously in blind spots of care.

Taking this award as an opportunity, we will work harder to develop Regional Autonomous Social Service Investment Projects that meet the needs of Goryeong residents.”
