Uijeongbu-si, Daycare Center Association Successfully Hosts '2024 Caregivers' Night'

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 9th that it successfully held the ‘2024 Childcare Workers’ Night’ on the 6th at Ireland Castle, attended by over 150 childcare workers from the area.

Hosted by the Uijeongbu City Daycare Center Association (President Song Eun-hee), this event was organized to bring together childcare workers who quietly and devotedly do their best in the field of childcare, to reflect on the past year, encourage each other, and share directions to improve the quality of infant and toddler care in the new year.


During the first part of the event, 24 outstanding childcare workers who contributed to the development of childcare services, including exemplary childcare staff, received commendations from the mayor, members of the National Assembly, the chairman of the Provincial Council, the chairman of the City Council, and the association. Following this, in the second part, attendees enjoyed an exciting performance by Uijeongbu City’s ambassador, Vinisaem, and a delicious dinner, providing a warm atmosphere to relieve the job stress accumulated throughout the year.


Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “I am always grateful for the hard work of childcare workers who strive to create a childcare environment where parents can entrust their children with peace of mind and for the safety and happiness of the children,” adding, “The city will also actively work to resolve the difficulties felt in the field going forward.”
